Rev. Kerry Hinton
Co-Pastor
Kerry and his wife Lynda recently moved to Pollocksville from Pocomoke City, Maryland where Kerry served as Senior Pastor of Lynnhaven Baptist Church for 28 years. Kerry received his undergraduate degree in music from Mars Hill College and his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Theological Seminary. Kerry not only brings his pastoral leadership to Pollocksville Baptist, but along with Lynda, brings musical talent and serves with our worship team. Kerry and Lynda have two grown sons and three beautiful grandchildren.
Dr. Sharon Bender
Co-Pastor
Sharon began her ministry at Pollocksville Baptist Church in August, 2018. She has served in several Baptist churches as Associate Pastor in the areas of Youth, Children, and Christian Education. Sharon received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Campbell University and her Master’s in Christian Education and Doctorate of Ministry from Trinity Seminary. Sharon and her husband Wade live on a ‘non-profit’, hobby farm outside of Pollocksville with their 3 goats, 5 chickens, 4 barn cats, and 2 guineas. They have two grown children and 4 grandchildren.
Tanner Brown
Associate Pastor of Student Ministries
Tanner Brown is a graduate of William Peace University with a dual degree in Psychology and Religion. He recently graduated from Campbell Divinity School with a Master’s of Divinity Degree. Tanner has been serving with us at Pollocksville Baptist since 2019 as Youth Minister and Associate Pastor. He also works with Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the Raleigh Area. Tanner is married to the lovely Sarah Taylor Brown who is a fifth grade teacher with Wake County Schools.
